If we cut it down to the chase, every nature business or wildlife NGO faces three obstacles:
- Money.
- Time.
- Expertise.
These three usually hold you back from doubling, tripling… multiplying your impact. Now I have great news: considering AI for business can help your nature venture with all three of them.
I was wondering if I should write this post today. But then I realized that most biodiversity companies & NGOs are not using Artificial Intelligence at all or not to its full potential.
Let’s get you on track to using AI to enhance your business operations!
11 ways how using AI for business can double the impact of your nature venture
1. Get master expertise in your nature venture
With tools like chat GPT, you can now have your Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), Chief Sales Officer (CSO), Chief Financial Officer (CFO) & co. right at your fingertips.
Just type “pretend to be CFO of a nature venture that is doing XX” and you have either a great sparring partner if you should be the CFO. Otherwise, you gain some great expertise from your digital CFO in minutes.
2. Reduce your costs
Now I am not going to open the box of Pandora here and talk about hiring fewer people. What I will say, though, is that AI can now help us massively to outsource repetitive tasks for a fraction of the costs.
For example, if you hired a video editor to trim your nature videos and create short videos out of them, he can now use AI tools to assist him. The cost of doing it the old way is much higher than outsourcing such repetitive tasks to AI.
3. Brainstorm with AI
I love brainstorming. If I could, I wouldn’t do anything else. But I know that not everyone feels so strongly about ideation, which is totally okay.
Good news for you, creativity just got a game changer. Within seconds you now get 100 ideas just by giving a prompt and pressing a button.
They might be generic initially, but with your guidance, they can become game-changing ideas for your nature venture.
4. Get stunning visuals
AI image generation by now is just wild. Gone are the days when you needed to take free stock images that you saw used by dozens of other biodiversity NGOs.
Tools like Midjourney allow you to create what you imagine.
Urban art of a kookaburra wearing sunglasses? Sure!
You can use those images then on your social media platforms, website, pitches & co. Design just got much easier.

5. Improve your copywriting
Excellent copywriting is essential nowadays because people only give you seconds to judge your nature project. Fyi, Generation Z has an attention span of less than 12 seconds! With AI writing tools, you now don’t have to be a phenomenal writer to produce catchy headlines, influential texts, or captivating speeches.
From the website to marketing channels, pitch decks, and sales emails, you now have a cheat code in your hands.

6. Increase the output of every team member
Take 2 hours this week and upskill your team on some AI because you will see an immediate effect on the output you create.
Far too often, I see nature companies or NGOs focusing on the hours their teams work. Focusing on how much output they create and its quality is far more important!
7. Step up your game
With the help of AI, you can now increase the quality of the content you are creating even more. Use AI to improve your texts, use AI to create stunning pictures, use AI to build videos instead of only text, use AI voices to narrate, and so on.
Raise the bar that you compare your content to. Please don’t compare it with your current content, but with the content you could create with AI. Step by step, close the gap.
8. Improve your product or services
AI can improve many of the products or services that already exist. It doesn’t mean you have to force AI into it, but it could make sense for many nature ventures.
E.g., use AI to analyze camera traps, create a better customer experience, and detect danger for ecosystems. The opportunities for artificial intelligence are endless.

9. Increase your operational efficiency
Nature ventures like yours have even less time to waste because you are racing to stop destruction and start regeneration. Yet, in our daily office lives, we easily waste time with some operational inefficiencies.
AI tools like Notion can help us to run our projects better and faster. Using AI for business tools can:
- transcribe our meeting notes,
- provide us with action items based on our meetings,
- help us keep track of our progress on various projects;
- etc.
10. Make use of tech for good
Technology alone can’t save us. It probably won’t be the solution to get us out of this ecological mess. Yet, it can be a key ally in this uphill battle.
The most valued companies are tech companies, so there is definitely something there that people value. When you start your AI journey, you also become more receptive to other tech solutions that can double your impact.
Virtual reality, cryptocurrency, blockchain, etc., are all technologies that have the potential to do good if we use them right.
11. Push the reshuffle button
AI just pushed the reshuffle button. After Google or the iPhone, it is the technological advancement that creates an earthquake in all industries. It will do the same in yours.
As I mentioned above, using AI for business has much power that can be used for good. Somebody in your industry will discover this sooner or later and get ahead.
It might as well be you. So, push the button.
